ARIZONA EVENTS
Vollstedt Award
In 1999, STRATCO established the Vollstedt Award for service and leadership in women's sports. It is presented annually to a person or organization who shows courage, commitment, passion for women's opportunities in sports, volunteerism, and a desire to help youngsters be successful.
All Vollstedt Award recipients have each been incredible role models for women of all ages.
KANSAS EVENTS
LPGA Women Helping Women® Golf Tournament, 1990-2001
Proceeds from the Women Helping Women tournaments totaled $500,000 with STRATCO matching that amount. This allowed STRATCO's Giving Network to contribute $1,000,000 to programs and agencies that educate, develop leadership, and create new hope to under-served women and children. While many of the tournament contributors were from out-of-state, approximately 99% of all donations remained in the Kansas City area.
American Lung Association
The American Lung Association of the District of Columbia (ALADC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention of lung disease and promotion of lung health. The oldest voluntary health organization in the country, ALADC has broadened its focus to asthma, tobacco control and environmental health, serving District residents and organizations, with an emphasis on medically underserved populations in the community.
